The REACH Academy in West Harrison, NY - a part of the Greenburgh-North Castle Union Free School District is seeking a certified Art Teacher to provide Art instruction to Special Education Students. The REACH Academy is a highly therapeutic program specializing in working with students who have clinically complex needs. The majority of the student body is on the Autism Spectrum. This position will involve working with both students who are pursuing Regents level diplomas as well as class groupings who are receiving Alternate Assessment. The school prides itself on the warm, safe and welcoming culture we have created and are looking for applicants who truly value the importance of therapeutic strategies in their instructional practices. Experience in a wide variety of production ranging from Arts and Crafts to Digital Art production a plus.
