About the School:Greenburgh-North Castle serves a student body exclusively composed of special education learners. Our faculty is distinguished by dual certifications in Special Education and content areas, complemented by expert inclusive specialists and clinical support.About the Position:We are seeking a passionate and experienced School Building Leader (SBL) who will engage students, staff and community members in working towards meeting building and district goals. As an SBL, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment, fostering high academic achievement for all students, and building strong relationships with staff, families, and the community. Responsibilities:Instructional Leadership:Oversee the development and implementation of an aligned and differentiated curriculum to support students with learning and emotional needs.Support and supervise teachers in their instructional practice through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.Conduct data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address them.Leads through thoughtful introspection, building collaborative teams for well-informed and collective decision-making.Ensure effective use of technology to enhance learning.School Climate and Culture:Cultivate a positive and inclusive school climate that fosters respect, collaboration, and belonging for all students and staff.Develop and implement programs and initiatives to address students' diverse needs including social-emotional learning, vocational/career/college readiness, student engagement.Partner with families and community members to create a supportive network for students.Operations and Management:Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and board policies.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, staffing, and maintenance.Supervise and evaluate staff.Collaborate with school's leaders to provide guidance and support.Knowledge of NYS Teacher certification requirements.Knowledge of NYS graduation requirements. (Part 100, Part 200 regulations).Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with staff, families, and community members in a transparent and timely manner.Build and maintain strong relationships with families.Collaborate with district leadership and other school leaders to achieve shared goals.Qualifications:Master's degree in Education Administration or related fieldSBL or acceptable alternate certificateDemonstrated leadership experience in an educational settingStrong understanding of curriculum development and instructional best practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersCommitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environmentKnowledge of New York State Education guidelines and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:Doctorate in Education Administration or related fieldBilingual fluency (Spanish/English)Experience working with students with disabilitiesKnowledge of Google Workspace products (Drive, Docs, Sheets)Familiarity with eSchoolPlus or other SISBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of studentsWork in a collaborative and supportive environment
