The Galway Central School District is accepting applications for a Full-Time probationary District-Wide Instrumental Music Teacher starting September 1, 2025. Candidates for this position shall possess a valid NYS Certificate in K-12 Music Education. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in instrumental music education, with a passion for nurturing musical growth and creativity in adolescent learners. Salary is commensurate on experience and demonstrated success on NYS Assessments. The Galway Central School District is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music Educator to join our team.Grade Levels: 5-12 Elementary and Secondary SchoolsResponsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for students in grades 5-12.Direct and conduct large instrumental ensembles (concert, marching, and jazz bands); fostering technique, musicianship, and ensemble skills.Create, organize and implement a successful annual recruitment program.Teach music performance, theory, history, and appreciation through engaging and innovative lessons.Offer opportunities for student leadership and collaboration through extracurricular music activities and performances.Collaborate with colleagues in the Fine Arts department to integrate music with other artistic disciplines.Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance music instruction and student learning.Serve as a mentor and advocate for students, supporting their artistic development and personal growth.
