Galway Central School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications for a Full-Time probationary School Counselor effective September 1, 2026. Candidates shall possess at least a Bachelor’s degree and/or be working towards a Master’s degree, and valid NYSED certification required. The ideal candidate will possess experience;Consulting with Parents, Teachers, Administrators and outside agency concerning the needs and abilities of studentsReact productively to changeCommunicated effectively with School Community membersImplement an effective program of educational and career planningExperience working with young children and children of special needsProvide individual, group, and crisis counseling to help students cope effectively with personal/social/academic/ and family concerns.Applicants must upload the following documents to OLAS: (a) Cover letter; (b) Resume; (c) Three letters of recommendation; (d) Proof of NYS Certification; (e) Copies of College Transcripts.
