New York State Certification in English Language Arts (7-12)? Fingerprinting clearance requiredEssential Duties (include, but are not limited to):? Plan and deliver responsive ELA lessons aligned with NYS Next Generation Standards thatfacilitate active learning and engagement for assigned classes/caseload? Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports all students withdiverse needs? Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, maintain accurate records, and use data to driveinstruction and targeted interventions? Model authentic reading behaviors and implement rigorous, engaging instructional methodologies? Differentiate instruction and modify teaching approaches to meet individual student needs? Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress? Collaborate with colleagues and instructional support teams?
