Qualifications:New York State Certification in Special Education, Students with Disabilities (7-12)Dual Certification with Content Area Extension preferredFingerprinting clearance required Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to):Meet and teach assigned classes and caseloadMaintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports all studentsMaintain accurate and complete records to track the progress of individual studentsCommunicate with parents regarding the progress of individual studentsUse assessment tools to guide instructionWork with students with disabilities in the classroom and utilize IEP goals in planning instructional practicesAbility to differentiate instruction and plan collaboratively with other teachersProvide related services as required on student IEP’sBroad knowledge of assessments and development of individualized programsStrive by instruction and action to implement the district’s philosophy of education, instructional goals and objectives Location: Robert M.
