Job description:This is a recently formed one-year position (renewable up to two years) intended to assist the school’s superintendent and principal in facilitating student achievement. The Director of Teaching and Learning will work collaboratively with the school’s administration and Outside Educational Expert (OEE) to support school improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:Assist in the implementation of curriculum initiatives and review the degree to which student learning outcomes are positively impactedSchool Leadership Team Planning & Facilitation with OEEOrganize professional development for faculty and staff in conjunction with the Superintendent, Principal, OEE, and educational consultantsAssist Principal with faculty and support staff observations and oversee student discipline as neededAssist Principal with coordination of state testing and data collectionAdditional administration tasks may be assigned as neededQualifications: The ideal candidate for this position must have a Master’s Degree in education or a related field and NYS Administrator Certification (SDL or SBL). Experience as a school administrator is highly valued. Previous applicants need not apply.
