Job description:This is newly formed, one-year position (renewable up to 3 years) intended to assist the school’s superintendent and principal in facilitating student achievement. The Director of Teaching and Learning will work collaboratively with the school’s administration and educational consultants to support school improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Facilitate the implementation of curriculum initiatives outlined in SCEP and DCIP Participate in the School Leadership Team Consult, advise and implement professional development for faculty and staff Monitor academic support services including AIS and RTI Conduct teacher observations as directed Address student discipline Monitor grant funds and reporting (i.e., ESSAR2 and ARP funds) Work within the NY State Department of Education Portal DASA Coordinator Additional administrative tasks may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this position must have a Master’s Degree in education or a related field and NYS Administrator Certification (SDL or SBL). Experience as a school administrator is highly valued.
