The General Brown Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Principal of Dexter Elementary School. We are looking for an instructional leader who inspires excellence, fosters collaboration, and is committed to ensuring that every student reaches their highest potential in a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will begin on or about October 1st, 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of school operations.Promoting high standards for student achievement, instructional quality, and staff professional growth.Building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the broader school community.Overseeing curriculum implementation, instructional practices, and data-driven decision-making.Managing daily school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with district and state policies.Leading initiatives to promote equity, inclusion, and a positive school climate.Qualifications:New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification required.Proven experience in instructional leadership, preferably at the elementary level.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Salary & Benefits: Competitive, commensurate with experience and in accordance with GB Administrator Contract.
