The successful candidate will begin on or about September 1, 2025. This is a full-time probationary appointment leading toward tenure initial assignment is at the Junior-Senior High School. Deadline is March 28th.Responsibilities:Challenge and educate students in a classroom settingDevelop and implement engaging lesson plansAdhere to the established teaching curriculumMaintain positive relationships with students and parentsDocument and share student grades and evaluationsMaintain the health and safety of all studentsCollaborate with special education and academic intervention servicesSupport school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities as neededQualifications:Strong classroom management skillsStrong knowledge of physical education pedagogy, fitness concepts, and student engagement strategiesAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and staffAbility to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learnersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership qualitiesIn accordance with New York State certification requirements for physical educationCertification is preferred, but applicants pursuing certification (nearing completion) are also encouraged to apply
