The Garrison Union Free School District is seeking qualified applicants for a special education teaching position in a Special Class 12:1 (grades 3-5) at Garrison School for the Extended School Year (ESY) program, which will run from 07/01/2025 to 8/08/2025. The ESY Program consists of a half-day from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and involves a collaborative approach with related service providers. This program runs parallel to our Summer Scholars Program, which offers opportunities for inclusion in a camp-like setting. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a supportive, flexible learning environment where students with diverse learning styles and needs can thrive. Experience with children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as inclusion strategies and behavioral principles, is preferred. Appropriate New York State Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities is required.
