The Garrison Union Free School District is seeking a part-time Transportation Coordinator for a the 2024-25 school year. This is a stipend position with an annual compensation of $20,000. The Transportation Coordinator, under minimum supervision, performs a variety of professional and administrative duties ensuring the supervision and management of transportation services.Duties include: Oversees safe and efficient transportation services, operations, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles;Reviews and oversees the implementation of policies and operational priorities as they relate to transportation services;Supervises transportation services, including bus routes, transportation map preparation, bus assignments, records maintenance including logs, and special transportation arrangements;Communicates regularly with contracted transportation dispatchers and drivers to ensure safe, efficient and reliable services; Works with Principal and Athletic Director to provide transportation for field trips, special events, and athletic practices/events; Assists in the preparation of transportation budgets and state reports, and ensures proper expenditures within appropriate budget lines;Participates in the selection, training and supervision of permanent and substitute bus drivers;Performs a variety of related activities as required.The Garrison Union Free School District is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes all candidates.
