The Garrison Union Free School District is seeking a highly qualified NYS certified Elementary Teacher (Grade 2) to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders.Ability to plan and deliver engaging student-centered instruction using evidenced-based practices;Knowledge of NYS Learning Standards;Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;Successful prior elementary teaching experience with students at varied readiness levels;Experience using data analysis protocols to drive instructional planning;Experience implementing culturally responsive teaching practices;Have the ability to meet the needs of students through differentiated and small group instruction;Experience working in a collaborative teaching model to support students’ IEP goals;Proficient with instructional technology;Genuinely believes every child can learn and is able to consistently provide multiple ways and opportunities for students to reach high expectations through thoughtful, strategic and innovative teaching;Collaborative, creative, flexible and progressive in his/her thinking.The Garrison Union Free School District is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes all candidates.
