The Garrison Union Free School District is seeking a highly qualified NYS certified full-time school psychologist for grades PK-8 to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders.Ideal candidate qualities:NYS Certification - School Psychologist;Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the social/emotional needs of students;Trained in administering and interpreting psychological evaluations;Experience leading counseling sessions for small groups and individual students experiencing a range of social and/or emotional challenges;Ability to make recommendations for modifying the classroom environment to meet the social/emotional needs of individual children, or the class as a whole; Knowledge of research pertaining to child development, neuropsychological issues, new tests and measurements, etc;Experience participating as a member of the Committee on Special Education and 504 Committee as a school psychologist;Willingness to be trained as a CSE Chairperson.The Garrison Union Free School District is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes all candidates.
