The Early Education Interventionist will work with the building principal, classroom teachers, and Director of Student Support Services to facilitate an intensive intervention program for students struggling to adjust to typical classroom structures. Intervention plans will be designed to help students develop more effective skills, increase safety and minimize lost instructional time.Essential Components:Deliver explicit instruction in social-emotional learning skills and competencies;Assist with the development and implementation of function-based behavior support plans for students needing tier three behavior intervention in the classroomImplement tier three classroom behavior interventions for a small group of students daily in an independent classroom focused on reintroducing these students to a typical classroom environment on a step-by-step basisAssist staff with the implementation of behavior support plans when students are reintroduced to the classroom environmentAssist with family communication regarding behavior intervention plans and student progressCollect and share behavior intervention plan progress monitoring data as neededEducators in the Fulton City School District benefit from:Professional development and mentoring designed specifically for teachers new to the profession and/or district;Collaborative professional learning community;Instructional coaching;Multi-year Strategic Plan focused on leadership, literacy, instructional practices, social-emotional well-being, family/community engagement and innovation;Highly competitive salary and benefits.Must possess valid NYS teacher certification in one of the following areas: School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Birth-2nd Grade Regular Education, Special Education with experience in behavior support.If you have any questions, please call the Director of Human Resources (315)-593-5538.Apply on OLAS
