G. Ray Bodley High School is seeking a Restorative Practice Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a probationary position.The RPS will support immediate student needs related to behavior, classroom community, and social-emotional wellness, while also building capacity of all staff members within their assigned school. Daily responsibilities will be grounded in the culture of restorative practices and student agency, with the goal of skill-building and minimizing instructional loss for students with behavioral/social-emotional needs.Primary duties will include: Direct support for students to address behavioral and social-emotional needs through a restorative framework Plan and facilitate PD/coaching for teachers, teams, school Collect and share restorative/behavioral data as appropriate (Leadership, School Culture, Faculty), through an equity lens.Participation on Student Support Team, Leadership Team, School Culture Committee The RPS will report to the Director of Student Services and the building principal. Required trainings will include (and will be provided): Basic Restorative Practices Advanced Restorative Practices TCIS Regular collaboration with other RPSs within the District (further training, case studies, data trends, roundtable discussions, idea shares)Candidates must possess certification in a student support profession (school counselor, school psychologist or school social worker) or be a certified teacher with experience in current best practices for SEL. Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration and facilitation skills are required in this role. This position will be a one-year appointment to a special assignment and compensation will be at the teacher/student support staff member’s regular salary for the 2023-2024 school year.
