The Fulton City School District is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Elementary Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness, lifelong healthy habits, and sportsmanship in young students, as well as providing specialized instruction for students with disabilities. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that meets state standards and district goals.Instruct students in fundamental movement skills, team sports, and individual fitness activities.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.Provide specialized instruction and adapt the curriculum for students with disabilities, as needed.Maintain a safe and organized gymnasium and equipment.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.QualificationsNew York State certification in Physical Education.Must be certified in Adaptive Physical Education.Experience teaching elementary-aged students is preferred.Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate physical activities.Strong classroom management and communication skills.First Aid and CPR certification are a plus.Salary and BenefitsThe starting salary for this position is $63,746. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off. Other salary benefits include:A Master's Degree Stipend of $2,598.$140 per graduate credit towards a Master's Degree (beyond the initial degree).$500 per year of certified experience.
