Freeport Public School District is seeking a candidate who holds NYS certification in Special Education Teacher for a Biology 7-12 for the 2026-2027school year. Experience designing student-centered lessons and engaging curricula that individually challenges students and inspires them to grow. Thoughtful, reflective practitioner that is culturally responsive in their pedagogical approach with a proven commitment to the principles of equity and inclusion. Highly skilled in differentiating instruction to personalize learning to meet the diverse needs of all students. Demonstrated understanding of authentic assessment, data-driven instruction, and methods for gathering and evaluating evidence of deeper learning. Experience with the various co-teach models, collaborative lesson planning, and team-teaching. Highly skilled with small group instruction Candidates must possess: Appropriate NYS certification Biology Certified Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations with students, parents, and staff Understanding of meeting the needs of multicultural students
