Bilingual Preferred Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education Job Description: Eligible candidates are expected to: Assess the learning, development, and adjustment needs of students. Develop appropriate interventions based on identified needs. Complete comprehensive reports (both written and verbal) as necessary. Provide student interventions and consultation to parents and staff to enhance students' adjustment and academic progress. Work as part of a cohesive team focused on educating and guiding students in the least restrictive environment. Duties: The CPSE psychologist: Chairs CPSE meetings Conducts site visits of CPSE programs Conduct comprehensive preschool evaluations Parent interviews Classroom observations Gather related service provider reports Ensure evaluations meet timelines and procedural requirements under NYS Part 200 As a member of the CPSE team determine the appropriate preschool placement Collaborate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPS). Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Frontline/IEP Direct Write compliant Prior Written Notices (PWNs) Participate in transition CPSE to CSE meetings Keep record of student placement and projections for the transition to CSE Preferred: Experience working with preschool populations Familiarity with CPSE process and provider agencies If without CPSE Chairperson experience have a willingness to train and learn Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED
