The Farmingdale School District is seeking highly motivated and passionate Physical Education teachers to join our team for the 25-26 school year. The ideal candidates will be responsible for teaching Physical Education classes to students in K-12 grades. Ferretti, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.Responsibilities Include:Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the state standards and school curriculum.Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.Monitor and assess student progress on a regular basis and provide feedback to students and parents.Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.Participate in faculty and department meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.Requirements:Minimum requirement-Bachelor's degree in Health/Physical Education or a related field.Teaching certification in Health/Physical Education.Experience teaching Health/Physical Education to middle school students.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.Knowledge of state standards and curriculum frameworks.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.Coaching experience is an asset. Bilingual is a plus.
