The Floral Park-Bellerose School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for a 4th Grade general education classroom. This educator will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction aligned to grade-level standards, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom community, and supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.Qualifications and Selection Criteria: NYS Permanent or Professional Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6).Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies across content areas (ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies).Experience differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Strong classroom management skills to support a structured and engaging learning environment.Ability to use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.General Responsibilities:Plan, deliver, and assess daily instruction aligned with NYS Learning Standards.Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, special area teachers, and support staff to ensure student success. Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and expectations.Participate in grade-level meetings, professional learning, and school-wide initiatives as needed.Integrate technology and other resources to enhance instruction and engage students.Work Schedule: Teacher calendar: Potential start date early November.
