The Floral Park Bellerose School District has an opening for a security guard (unarmed) to work during the school week, Monday - Friday, excluding school holidays and summers when school is closed. Shift starts at 2:30 p.m. and end time varies seasonally between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, traffic control and monitoring the LIRR pedestrian tunnel adjacent to the school. The employee must be versatile and be prepared to substitute in the school when other security guards are out. These duties include visitor management screening, monitoring hallways, tour buildings and designated areas to ensure buildings are properly secured; prevent unauthorized people from entering the building; ensure safety of persons using premises.
