Job Description: The Floral Park-Bellerose School District has an opening for a Social Worker. Work as part of a team to provide appropriate services and support to students, families, and staff in the FPBSD. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work. NYS Social Work License LCSW or LMSW General Duties & Responsibilities:Counseling services for students (mandated, building level, social skills groups, and other considerations)Parent training and supportsServe as a member of the Committee on Special Education as appropriateProvide outreach services to familiesIntervene in crisis situations Communicate with agencies concerning students in need Knowledge of Medicaid reporting mandatesKnowledgeable in school policies and procedures regarding Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Knowledge of McKinney-Vento Act, DASA, Erin’s Law Understand advocacy services for students and familiesGenerate FBAs and BIPs as necessary to support students Serve as liaison with community partnersBilingual (Spanish speaking) candidates preferredThe Floral Park-Bellerose Elementary School District is located in Western Nassau County.
