The Floral Park-Bellerose School District, a Pre-K through 6th grade elementary district in western Nassau County, has an administrative opening for a Director of Curriculum & Instructional Technology. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Oversee all aspects of technology in the District including instructional and non-instructional.Establish, supervise, and coordinate a plan of professional development for technology- based instructional systems and applications in conjunction with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and the Network Administrator.Design, develop, and deliver high quality professional learning for all instructional and non-instructional staff in the District to transform practices and foster innovation.Ensure that all educators have access to the appropriate tools to develop future-ready curriculum, instruction, assessment, learning environments and professional learning.Develop vision and lead instructional technology initiatives.Assign, observe, and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff as assigned.Design, coordinate, and implement the goals outlined in the District’s Technology Plan that support the integration of digital tools that foster high quality and rigorous future-ready teaching and learning.Develop and oversee District technology budget and negotiate technology vendor contracts.Implement K-6 Computer Science Standards with a focus on STEAM and engineering.Stay current on educational trends, pedagogy, and other applications that would enhance curriculum and innovation in the classroom.Will be required to generate public presentations for Parent Universities, the Board of Education, or for other purposes.Oversee and coordinate the design and maintenance of the District’s website. Qualifications:Expertise in classroom teaching/best practices/pedagogy.2 years of administrative experience preferred.NYS SDA, SAS or SDL Certification required.Apply via OLAS only by July 26, 2023.
