The Florida Union Free School District seeks candidates for a probationary teaching position for Middle School Science. NYS certification in General Science and/or another science content area is required. NYS certification in Physics or Special Education preferred. The position is available on or about September 1, 2025.We are seeking a passionate and student-centered middle school science teacher dedicated to fostering curiosity and a love of learning. The ideal candidate will design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons that support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts. We are looking for someone who:Enjoys working with middle and high school students, building positive relationships that support their academic and personal growth.Has experience with or a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and how to apply them effectively in the classroom.Uses innovative instructional strategies, such as problem- and project-based learning, to create dynamic, hands-on experiences that inspire students and make science relevant to their lives.
