The Florida Union Free School District seeks a qualified Army JROTC Instructor to launch and lead its new Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish a program focused on leadership, citizenship, self-discipline, and service. The instructor will implement the U.S. Army Cadet Command curriculum and help shape a positive, student-centered program rooted in Army values.Responsibilities:Teach the Army JROTC curriculum, including leadership, citizenship, wellness, and drill.Maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment.Coordinate extra-curriculars such as color guard, drill team, and community service.Ensure compliance with Cadet Command requirements, including enrollment, records, and inventory.Foster strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the community.Serve as a role model, promoting Army standards and character development.Qualifications:Must meet U.S. Army Cadet Command instructor certification requirements.Eligible applicants include:Retired Army NCOs (E6–E9), Warrant Officers (WO1–CW5), or Commissioned Officers (O3–O6).Per NDAA updates, recently separated officers or NCOs with at least 10 years of honorable service, appropriate rank, and an associate degree or higher.Army National Guard and Reserve members who meet the same criteria.Strong leadership and mentoring skills; experience with youth preferred.Additional Information:Full-time, school-year position with some after-school and weekend events.Compensation per U.S. Army Cadet Command guidelines and district policy.Application Process:Apply via the Online Application System for Educators (OLAS): https://www.olasjobs.org.
