The Florida Union Free School District seeks candidates for a Long-term Substitute position for School Social Worker. Interested applicants must possess New York State Certification. The position is available on or about April 24, 2023.Responsibilities include:Provide individual, group, and family social work support services for K-12 student populationConduct family outreach - including home visitsMaintain parent involvement with correspondence, home visits, meetings, and workshopsBe a part of buildings’ and district’s crisis teams and respond to crisis situationsBe a part of the buildings’ and district’s SEL team and provide SEL support / instruction to studentsAssist with chronic student absenteeismConnect students and families to outside agencies and supportRegularly communicate with parents, colleagues, and administrators to provide supportInterested candidates should include a letter of interest, resume and proof of New York State certification.
