The Florida Union Free School District has an opening for an English to Speakers of Other Languages teacher. Interested applicants must possess New York State Certification in ESOL K-12. Knowledge of the Next Generation Standards and mandated state testingExperience working with elementary, middle and secondary studentsUnderstanding of meaningful inclusion for ENL students, and experience collaborating with and advising general education teachers on inclusive practicesExperience with formal data-based decision-making practices to inform and develop lessons and activitiesDifferentiate student learning activities based on individual needs/levelsAbility and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversityAbility to plan and teach ENL programs for studentsEffectively synergize with colleagues to schedule ENL learning timesDemonstrated ability to establish a sound system of classroom managementAbility to establish effective working relationships with staff, students, parents and communityExperience working positively with studentsPositive and effective communication and collaboration skills desired Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
