This position is in the Middle School-High School. New York State certification in Music (all grades) required. Probationary position.The successful candidate will be: Responsible for participating in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the Middle School-High School instrumental music program. Expected to possess knowledge of general music concepts and explore and evaluate curriculum materials for possible use. Expected to possess excellent musicianship skills, including band instrument proficiency and basic piano proficiency. Expected to possess strong classroom skills in a rehearsal and classroom setting and able to organize concerts and school events. Expected to maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning. Responsible for participating in school district planning processes. Expected to maintain a disciplined learning environment.
