Type: 11 monthFull-time probationary, with tenure track, school psychologist position. Valid NYS School Psychologist certification is required. Successful candidates must:Demonstrate the ability to conduct psycho-educational evaluations for determining eligibility for special education programs, as well as be knowledgeable in the necessary accommodations and modifications to help students thrive in the least restrictive environment in a K-12 setting (two buildings).Collaborate with other disciplines and professionals in conjunction with evaluations and services.Work within research and evidence-based MTSS and IEP practices.Have an understanding of functional behavior assessment and evidence-based behavior interventions.Be knowledgeable in MTSS principles and support and assist with MTSS/Intervention team meetings with an understanding of data collection and interpretation.Attend and participate in Team meetings with teachers and/or families.Be knowledgeable of the CSE process and attend CSE meetings.Demonstrate competency in working with a variety of disabilities.Demonstrate ethical practices in line with school psychology professional organizations.Demonstrate organizational skills to adhere to state and federal guidelines.Align with district mission and goals.11-month position is based on 10 months, plus limited and flexible days during summer recess.
