POSITION: Bilingual (Spanish) Academic Teacher (Anticipated) (FT) SITE/BUILDING: Roanoke House - Riverhead, NY QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate NYS Certification, Grades 1-6Experience teaching ELA and Mathematics, Grades 1-6Must be Bilingual Spanish SpeakingMinimum of two (2) years teaching experience preferredDemonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide instructional support and advocacy for Spanish-speaking children of migrant farm workers in school settings as well as supplemental support programs at Roanoke HouseDevelop and implement appropriate lesson plans and programming for tutors to use during instructional support of migrant eligible studentsParticipate in NYS-Migrant Education Program sponsored Professional Development and Learning CommunitiesContribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings START DATE: September 5, 2023 MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $56,659** Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2022-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). 2023-2024 compensation rates will follow CBAs when available
