Overview The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated leader to serve as Coordinator of Culture and Climate . This is an exciting opportunity to cultivate a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes academic success, positive relationships, and a strong sense of community. The successful candidate will work closely with students, staff, families, and community partners to enhance the overall climate and culture of our schools while supporting leadership and instructional goals. Key Responsibilities Relationship Building & School Culture Create and cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. Develop initiatives that foster respect, inclusivity, and engagement across the school community. Serve as a visible and accessible presence in the school environment. Instructional & Leadership Support Collaborate with building leadership, teachers, and support staff to implement best practices that support student engagement and success. Provide feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional effectiveness. Student Support & Discipline Promote a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Address student behavior concerns proactively and constructively in alignment with district policies. Implement restorative practices to strengthen community and resolve conflicts. Administrative & Operational Duties Assist with day-to-day school operations, including events, communications, and coordination with families and community stakeholders. Participate in district-wide initiatives, committees, and professional learning opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Certification: Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification. Education: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum of five years of teaching experience. Skills: Proven ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders; strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills; knowledge of school culture development and instructional leadership best practices. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a school leader. Familiarity with the East Ramapo Central School District’s culture, policies, and community. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and high-achieving school environment.
