East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a dynamic special education teacher to join our dedicated group of educators supporting our diverse learners throughout the District. This particular position will require the special educator to provide resource room services to students who are parentally placed in local non-public schools. The ideal candidate must be sensitive to cultural nuances, respectful of the schools to which he/she is assigned and be a creative team player. Traveling between schools will most likely be involved and the candidate must be able to work independently Requirements include, but are not limited to:1.Design, supervise and implement students’ individualized education services program (IESP) 2. Provide specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each student, as per their IESP 3. Plan and organize activities for instruction4. Conduct individual educational evaluations and write a detailed report 5. Progress monitoring and tracking with measures, graphs and analysis of student’s progress on all IESP goals 6. Complete progress reports, quarterly reports and annual review reports7. Maintain classroom structure8. Meet and interact with parents, school staff, and district team members Qualifications:NYS Certified Special Education Teacher K-12Experience in teaching students with disabilities
