The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, motivated and student-centered secondary physical educator. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching children at the secondary level, will value skill and fitness acquisition, understand the importance of developing the whole child, and have the ability to collaborate with their respective administrators and colleagues. In addition, a successful candidate will foster a culture of respect and dignity within their classroom, as well as develop positive relationships with students, their families, and the East Ramapo community. An ideal candidate will design and deliver sequenced activities that foster competence and confidence in their students. The candidate must meet all New York State certification requirements prior to their start date. Certification in health education and expertise in the area of fitness, dance, outdoor education, or adventure education preferred.
