Job Title: Teacher’s AideLocation: East Ramapo Central School District, Rockland County, NY Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (depending on school needs)Position Overview:The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking compassionate and dedicated Teacher’s Aides to join our team. This position involves providing non-instructional support to students and staff, ensuring a safe and structured environment that promotes student well-being and positive school experiences.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and assist students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, and transitions.Provide support to students with special needs in navigating daily routines and following classroom or school protocols.Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for students and staff.Assist with preparing and organizing materials for non-instructional tasks and activities.Monitor student behavior and support adherence to school policies.Accompany students during arrival, dismissal, and transitions between school areas as needed.Perform clerical or operational duties to support school staff, such as organizing supplies or assisting with events.Provide one-on-one or group assistance to students needing physical or emotional support in non-academic areas.Perform other non-instructional duties as assigned by the school administration.Qualifications:Required:High School Diploma or equivalent.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.Patience, understanding, and flexibility in addressing student needs.Preferred:Experience working with children in a school setting.Prior experience supporting students with special needs.
