Start Date: October 2025Anticipated End Date: Early February 2026Position Overview: The East Ramapo Central School District, located in Rockland County, NY, is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Assistant Principal (Leave Replacement) to support a K–3 elementary building. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Principal and staff to promote a positive school culture, support effective instruction, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment where young learners can thrive academically and socially.Responsibilities Include:Assisting the Principal in the day-to-day operation of the school and overall instructional leadership.Supporting teachers with curriculum implementation, classroom management, and professional growth.Coordinating school-wide programs, assessments, and data-driven instructional initiatives.Fostering strong relationships with students, families, and the community.Participating in building leadership, safety, and support teams.Qualifications:Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification required.Experience working with elementary-aged children; prior administrative or leadership experience preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous school improvement.Salary: Commensurate with experience, per East Ramapo Building Administrators contract.
