Job Posting: Mathematics Teacher (Grades 7–12) Location: East Ramapo Central School District (Various Secondary Schools) Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-month position Start Date: Immediately and 2025-2026 School YearPosition Overview: The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking dynamic, student-centered Mathematics Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for educators who are passionate about equity, culturally responsive teaching, and helping students develop deep conceptual understanding in mathematics.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned to NYS Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs and learning styles of students.Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching practices accordingly.Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning and support critical thinking.Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and academic growth.Participate in professional learning communities, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives.Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.Qualifications:Valid New York State Certification in Mathematics Grades 7–12 or related field.Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and excellence.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Experience working in diverse, multilingual, and inclusive school settings is a plus.Salary & Benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience, as per the East Ramapo Teachers Association (ERTA) contract.
