Position Title: Extended School Year (ESY) Teacher Program Dates: July 1, 2025 – August 12, 2025 Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM Location: East Ramapo Central School District Application Deadline: Open until filledPosition Overview:The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking highly qualified Special Education Teachers to serve in our 2025 Extended School Year (ESY) Summer School Program. This program provides specialized instruction and services to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key Responsibilities:Deliver specially designed instruction to students classified with autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities.Implement multisensory instructional methods such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Foundations.Collect and monitor student progress data aligned to IEP goals.Utilize strong classroom and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive, structured learning environment.Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that meets the unique needs of each student. Qualifications:Required Certification: New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (appropriate grade level).Experience working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple impairments.Proficiency in data collection and the implementation of IEPs.Familiarity with and use of evidence-based multisensory reading interventions.Demonstrated excellence in behavior management and student engagement.
