This is an excellent opportunity for retired administrators or special education professionals looking to contribute their expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity.The Per Diem CSE Chairperson will be responsible for facilitating CSE meetings, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and collaborating with families, educators, and service providers to develop appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Key Responsibilities:Chair CSE meetings to review initial referrals, reevaluations, annual reviews, and program modifications.Ensure compliance with NYS and federal special education laws and regulations.Review and finalize IEPs, ensuring they align with students' needs and district resources.Collaborate with parents, school staff, service providers, and district administrators.Provide guidance on special education processes, placement recommendations, and service provisions.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely submission of reports.Qualifications:Required: New York State Certification in School District Leadership (SDL), School District Administrator (SDA), or Special Education Administration.Preferred: Experience as a CSE Chairperson, Special Education Administrator, or related role.Knowledge of NYS special education laws, regulations, and best practices.Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with families, staff, and service providers.Compensation:Competitive per diem rate based on experience.How to Apply:Qualified candidates interested in immediate placement should submit a resume and cover letter to Olasjobs.org:East Ramapo Central School District is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds.
