Job Posting: High School Special Education/ELA Leave Replacement TeacherLocation: East Ramapo Central School DistrictDuration: Immediately until end of the 2024-2025 School YearApplication Deadline: Open until filled Job Description:The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Leave Replacement Teacher to provide instruction in Special Education and English Language Arts (ELA) at the high school level. This position is available immediately and will continue through the end of the school year. Responsibilities:Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a special education settingDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with New York State Learning StandardsModify curriculum and assessments to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student successMaintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with familiesFoster a positive and inclusive learning environment Qualifications:Valid New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12) and English Language Arts (Grades 7-12) preferredExperience working with students with disabilities in an inclusive or self-contained settingStrong classroom management and instructional skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staffSalary & Benefits:Salary is competitive and based on experience, per the East Ramapo Teachers Association (ERTA) contract.
