Job Title: School PsychologistLocation: East Ramapo Central School District Position Type: Full-Time, ProbationaryThe East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist to join our student support team. This is a full-time, probationary position with the potential for tenure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping students achieve academic success and emotional well-being through targeted psychological services and interventions.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to determine students' cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs.Support students experiencing crises or mental health challenges and refer them to outside resources when necessary.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings.Monitor and assess student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and provide ongoing support.Promote a positive and inclusive school environment by assisting with social-emotional learning initiatives and preventive programs.Collaborate with school staff to develop strategies that improve student engagement and achievement.Requirements:Valid New York State license as a School Psychologist.Experience in a school-based setting is preferred.Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP processes.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to work with diverse student populations and provide culturally responsive services.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package according to district contract.Opportunity for tenure upon successful completion of the probationary period.Ongoing professional development opportunities.A collaborative and supportive work environment committed to student success.How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, proof of certification, and references to OLAS.Join the East Ramapo Central School District team and help make a lasting difference in the lives of our students!
