Description: The East Quogue School District is searching for a teacher aide for our great district on the eastern end of Long Island. Responsibilities:Works under the supervision of a teacher.Watches and supervises students.Is present and engaged during class sessions.Supports teacher’s lessons by reviewing material with students.Enforces school and class rules to help teach students appropriate behavior.Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning initially introduced by teacher or teaching assistant.Distributes and collects workbooks, papers and other materials for instruction.Assists with the supervision of students during recess, lunch, emergency drills, assemblies and field trips.Checks and records student attendance.Assists with lunch, snack and cleanup routines.Assumes other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
