Location: District Office, Curriculum Department Effective: September 3, 2024 Responsibilities: Facilitate professional development workshops and job-embedded training sessions to enhance educators’ technology skills and pedagogical practices (including facilitating summer in-service course and supporting new teacher orientation sessions).Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify, integrate, and model appropriate technology tools and instructional strategies/resources into curriculum and instruction.Assist teachers and the directors in software integration into the classroom (i.e. rostering and management, etc.)Create and curate digital content and resources for educators and students, including instructional videos, tutorials, and online modules.Evaluate, select, and maintain a variety of digital tools, applications, and online resources to support teaching and learning across the district.Assist in the maintenance, inventory, and management of instructional technology resources and equipment.Assess levels of teacher technology understanding, skills, and integration within the classroom as they pertain to the SAMR Model Support the planning, preparation and implementation of the STEAM Fair and Parent Universities.Support staff with the implementation of the Computer Science and Digital Literacy Standards into the curriculum (i.e.: coding lessons)Develop, plan and implement a creative and enriching K-5 program of instruction that requires the maximum use of higher level thinking skills, problem solving techniques and creative thinking skills.Collaborate with other classroom teachers in the development, evaluation, and revision of the enrichment programCollaborate with the Director of Technology and the Office of Curriculum and Instruction in developing and overseeing instruction and technology initiatives/projects that support 21st Century Learning skills and MTSS-I goals.Perform all other related duties as assigned by the curriculum and technology administration. Qualifications:NYS Teacher CertificationThe ideal Candidate will possess a strong background in the technology field with demonstrated skill in the use of instructional technologyKnowledge of Bloom’s TaxonomyDemonstrated ability to work with teachers and students to demonstrate ways of creating a challenging and exciting atmosphere in the regular classroom Compensation: In accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Teacher’s Alliance.Elwood School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer
