Job Description:The Technology Teaching Assistant provides essential, district-wide support to teachers, students, and staff in our PreK–6 schools by facilitating the effective integration of technology into the curriculum. This role encompasses a wide range of duties, including providing direct instructional assistance and technical support to both students and staff concerning the operation of district technology, such as iPads, computers, and peripheral equipment. They are also responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of this equipment, while simultaneously working closely with central administrative staff and IT teams (including BOCES) to support instructional technologies, potentially assist with professional development, and ensure the effective use of all digital tools and platforms across the entire district. Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to students and staff for all hardware, software, and technology-related issues.Manage deployment and set up of classroom technology, including devices, Apple TVs, and other peripheral equipment.Provide instructional support, technical training, and professional development (PD) to staff and students on all instructional apps and digital platforms such as Seesaw, IXL, Learning A-Z, HMHCo Go Math, etc.Collaborate closely with district IT staff and BOCES to troubleshoot general technology issues and implement new technological initiatives.Facilitate online learning activities and assist with the school-wide implementation of student computer-based testing.Serve as the district webmaster for website content creation, and train and provide professional development to building level webmasters for individual school pages Provide support of district wide use of Parent Square and its associated features Assist in site-based network administration and work with IT to manage devices within the MDM platform.Support IT with the rostering of digital accounts, including the deployment of an automated rostering platform.Manage and execute live streaming of all District public events.Availability required for summer hours and events. Qualifications:Valid NYS Teaching Assistant certification required.Must be proficient in computer technology.
