-Plans, assigns, lay out, and supervises the work of skilled and semi-skilled personnel performing maintenance and repair tasks. Acts as a working supervisor, inspecting the work of others, assisting in the training and improvement of personnel, and masking recommendations to the administrator in charge. -Periodically inspects buildings to determine condition of structural components and electrical and mechanical equipment: prepares and submits reports recommending work to be done. -Requisitions materials, supplies, tools, and equipment required for general repair and maintenance, takes inventory and maintains adequate stock levels. Reports orally and writing to superior on work under contract or in progress. *As per Civil Service requirements, must have six years experience as a skilled maintenance worker.
