Minimum requirements are NYS Teaching Assistant certification and some experience working with children of secondary school age. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:>>>Reinforcement of lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups>>>Assisting students with understanding appropriate behavior in the school and in classrooms>>>Assisting teachers with attendance, grades, modification of learning materials>>>Assisting teachers with preparation for lessons - eg.) getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers, labs, etc.>>>Supervising students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips"
