The Eldred Central School District is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, collaborative, and student-centered Principal (Grades 7–12) to join its administrative team. The successful candidate will provide visionary educational leadership that advances student achievement, supports staff growth, and fosters a positive school culture through rigorous academic and extracurricular programs. The Principal will work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and the community to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. Responsibilities: Provide leadership aligned with the District’s mission, vision, and strategic plan Oversee curriculum, instruction, and assessment to promote academic excellence Support staff development and evaluation to enhance instructional practice Engage families and community partners to strengthen school-community connections Uses data and evidence-based research to make informed decisions regarding student achievement and school resources Advocates for students' needs and demonstrates that all children can learn Monitors student performance Evaluates and assists teachers to implement curriculum and to maximize time for instruction Manages resources, operations and facilities effectively Prepares monthly reports Evaluates programs and makes appropriate recommendations Follows Board of Education policies Attends Board of Education meetings as required by the Superintendent of Schools Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools Job Qualifications: Must have NYS Certification in School Building Leader (SBL) Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements Benefits & Compensation Salary: In accordance with the Eldred Administration Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
