The Eldred Central School District is seeking candidates for a full time probationary Licensed Clinical Social Worker position with an effective start date on or about November 15, 2024. We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide an integrated network of student support services to help students succeed in school. Come work in an exciting and meaningful field helping children with disabilities.Requirements:Preferred- New York State Licensed Clinical Social WorkerValid New York State Certification as a School Social WorkerMaster’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited universityResponsibilities:Serving as liaison between home and school by communicating with parents/guardians based on student needs and documenting interventions. Assessing the needs for additional services, such as outpatient counseling or other community based supports, and assisting students and families with the referral process.Collaborating with district liaisons and Committee on Special Education, BOCES staff and parents, on the career and technical programming to support the students' adjustment.Providing counseling services for students based on social, emotional, and school adjustment needs, including risk assessments, as well as maintaining electronic logs of the counseling services as per the recommendation on student IEPs.Provide family education and training services;Mobilize family, school, and community resources to support each child in their educational program;Provide crisis intervention;Develop intervention strategies to increase academic success;Assist students in understanding themselves, others, and respecting a diverse and inclusive school community;Engage parents in support of their children’s school adjustment;Assist parents in accessing community resources, program and supports for students with special needs;Provide direct consultation and support to staff in meeting student needs;Develop and deliver staff professional development programs that support district and department objectives;Complete student risk and safety assessments regarding mental health concerns and complete appropriate referrals to assure student well-being and safety;Complete all required documentation, including Medicaid billing, evaluations, IEPs and social history reports;Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Administration.Along with making a difference, you will receive:Competitive salary per contract, based on experience and demonstrated abilitiesBenefits include paid holidays, sick and personal timeNYS Retirement and health & dental insuranceProfessional training opportunities to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth.
