Eden II Programs Genesis School is looking for the perfect Handy Man!Full Time Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30PMWe are located in Long Island, NY!If you are good with your hands, and knowledgeable in indoor/outdoor repairs, then we want YOU!Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:· The Facilities Maintenance Specialist/Handyman is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the agency sites. This includes following scheduled maintenance plans and completing unforeseen repairs.· The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will provide the snow/ ice removal function for all sites to ensure the safe operation of the programs and will be required to work overtime both before and after his/ her scheduled hours during snow/ ice events.· The Facilities Maintenance Specialist serves as primary contact for the agency’s alarm notifications. He/ She also serves as the contact person for outside vendors working at the agency sites.· The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will conduct fire/ emergency drills at all agency locations and also serve as supervisor of fire alarm systems at NYC locations with fire alarm systemsSome tasks may include:Maintains site groundsPerforms light cleaning, garbage removalPerforms light plumbing repair/ installationPerforms minor repairs to furniture, cabinets, equipment, etc.Performs minor electrical repairs/ installationRepairs drywall, doors, locksPaints interior wallsStores and distributes household suppliesServes as contact for alarm notificationAssists in maintenance/ repair of fleet vehiclesQualifications:High School diploma or GEDValid driver’s license with good driving historyMinimum of 5 years prior experience in maintenance/ construction fieldAbility to perform hard physical labor both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsBasic electrical, plumbing, drywall skillsGood interpersonal skillsIf you believe you are a good fit for this position, I would love to discuss the opportunity further.Apply Now!
