Social Studies Teacher - 7–12 - Probationary EHS The successful candidate will: Demonstrate strong content knowledge across the secondary Social Studies curriculum, with an emphasis on United States History Design engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking, historical analysis, and civil discourse Support students in developing strong communication skills through discussion, writing, and evidence-based argumentation Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that values multiple perspectives and promotes active civic engagement Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support a cohesive and student-centered instructional program Experience teaching AP United States History is preferred. Familiarity with primary source analysis, discussion-driven instruction, and project-based or inquiry-based approaches is a plus. New York State Certification in Social Studies (Grades 7–12) is required.
